Overview
Program Coordinator, Center for Community News. Craft strategy, vision and implementation of national programming for CCN's network of journalism faculty. In coordination with the Executive Director, this role will manage an ongoing schedule of educational and collaborative projects for the Center for Community News, a national organization that supports community reporting programs at colleges across the country. Programming includes virtual panels for journalism faculty and media, reporting cohorts organized around specific beats, national and regional events.
Minimum QualificationsThree to five years of experience managing complex multi-year programs for a nonprofit, college, or newsroom. At least two years spent as a working journalist. Familiarity with basic web site content management systems, news platforms, digital reporting trends, and news landscape research.
Desirable QualificationsHighly organized. Experience building nonprofit networks or audiences. Knowledge of higher education. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain communications with faculty, staff, and student participants.
Anticipated Pay Range$60,000 - $70,000
Other InformationSpecial Conditions: A probationary period may be required, contingent on continued funding, background check required for this position, this position is eligible for full-time telework in accordance with the university telecommuting policy.
