Lecturer in Music Technology and Business
The Program in Music in the School of the Arts at the University of Vermont seeks a full‑time Lecturer specializing in music technology, music production, and music business. The successful candidate will demonstrate significant professional experience in the contemporary music industry, including commercial music production, record releases, licensing and synchronization, revenue generation, and engagement with labels, publishers, distributors, or independent music enterprises.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in music technology, music production, and music business and entrepreneurship.
- Mentor students in creative and professional skill development, including the effective use of social media and other means of promotion and marketing.
- Contribute to experiential, practice‑based instruction aligned with current industry practices.
- Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive, student‑centered teaching and the ability to integrate professional experience into the academic curriculum.
