Position Overview

Elizabeth and David Daigle Professorship in Finance. This hire will be made at the Associate Professor level and will commence in the fall of 2026. The University of Vermont’s Grossman School of Business invites applications for the position. This role requires a doctorate degree from a nationally or internationally recognized program in finance or economics, with current Associate Professors preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Teach introductory finance and elective courses in areas such as investments, corporate finance, international finance and economics, financial institutions and markets, or financial modeling.
  • Maintain a coherent research agenda and publish high‑quality work in finance or economics.
  • Participate in the faculty‑student mentoring culture and contribute to the undergraduate and graduate programs.
  • Interact productively with the Grossman School’s alumni network to enhance program quality.
Qualifications
  • Doctorate in finance or economics from a nationally or internationally recognized program.
  • Current Associate Professors preferred, but any scholar who has an established record of high‑quality publications is welcomed.
  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and commitment to continued excellence in UVM’s undergraduate and graduate offerings.
  • Professional experience or credentials such as a CFA is encouraged.
