Salary: $22 to $24 Per Hour

Work Hours: 40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year

Pay Rate: Probationary period (first 60 working days) $22.96–$23.73 per hour; after 60 days $23.29–$24.07 per hour.

Head Start is a federally‑funded national child and family development program that provides comprehensive services for pregnant women, children from birth to age five, and their families. Services for children promote school readiness and include early education, health, nutrition, mental health, and services for children with special needs. Services for parents promote family engagement and include parent leadership and social service supports.

As an Early Head Start Toddler Teacher Associate, you will work in an outcomes‑oriented team environment and assist the classroom team in planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate environment and experiences for infants and toddlers. Motivated Head Start educators improve the trajectory of children’s lives, including learning outcomes, living standards, and later academic and professional success.

• Assist in planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for infants and toddlers.
• Support classroom team in daily classroom management, behavior guidance, and child outcome assessment.
• Document and record child progress per Head Start requirements.
• Collaborate with families to promote school readiness and provide family engagement activities.

• Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; infant‑toddler specific education and experience that meets or exceeds the requirements for an Infant Toddler CDA Credential.
• Knowledge and experience in developmentally appropriate early childhood practice, child outcome assessment, child behavior management, curriculum planning, development, and implementation.
• Commitment to social justice and working with families with limited financial resources.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual abilities a plus.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to carry out required tasks.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
