Adjunct Instructor – User Experience & Interaction Design
The Creative Studio at Champlain College is seeking an adjunct faculty position in the User Experience & Interaction Design Program for the Fall 2026 semester. The available course is UXD 206 Web Design I.
Course DescriptionDesigning for the web is fundamentally different from designing for print or static screens; layouts must flex, type must scale, and visual decisions play out across devices and contexts a designer can’t fully predict. In this course, students develop hands‑on fluency with the web as a design environment by analyzing existing sites, making intentional visual design decisions, and building responsive, multi‑page websites using HTML and CSS.
No prior coding experience required. (3 hours – one session per week, plus a two‑hour studio)
- Experience with Adobe software and CSS + HTML
- A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of industry experience in relevant areas
- A master’s degree in a related field, relevant experience, and teaching experience is preferred
- Credit hours taught per semester
- Current collective bargaining agreement rates for adjunct faculty
- Resume/CV
