Recent interns

Matt Harvey, Norwich University, B.S. Construction Management 2026, jumped feet first into a full‑time Project Engineering role on our Fox Run Apartments project; quickly becoming a critical part of the team while supporting Scott Robertson, Project Superintendent and Kyle Curry, Project Manager. His daily responsibilities included project documentation, material handling, putting work‑in‑place, punch list inspections, progress tracking, and safety inspections, all critical to getting the project to the finish line.

Matt excelled at communication, prioritizing tasks, and executing work with quality and completeness. He is well on his way to become a construction professional!

Cole Dezan, a rising Junior at Vermont State University – Castleton, brought an endlessly positive attitude, experience working in the trades, and his experience from pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration & Management to his NCC internship. Cole wore many hats during his Summer 2025 internship – accounting assistance, project administration and field labor. His attention to detail, willingness to jump in wherever needed, and familiarity with the construction industry made him a great asset to the Team!

Eli Jones leveraged his VTSU – Electrical Engineering degree mindset to tackle several research and database projects during his Summer 2025 internship, leaning into quickly learning about BABAA, air‑tight envelope air barrier testing, and historic window restoration. Eli was instrumental in assisting The Fletcher Free Library Historic Restoration team with surveying, measuring, and cataloging the existing windows being removed for restoration.

While also building a database of testing results for NCC’s high performance building. Eli demonstrated a great ability to research, learn, organize and synthesize information!

Emma McDonald spent the Summer of 2024 immersing herself in all aspects of office and field Project Engineering duties. Emma’s internship, ahead of her junior year in UVM’s Civil Engineering program, earned her valuable experience, while making significant contributions to the NCC teams she supported. While in the office, Emma assisted the Enfield Public Safety project team with submittal reviews, RFI tracking, material ordering, and site mobilization preparations.

Her time in the field ranged from labor assistance on the Hardwick Wastewater Treatment Plant project, to site and foundation layout on the Fox Run Apartments project.

Intern Jenna Symon, like many others on the NCC team, comes from a family of builders, and knows how to take on tasks with a creative and determined approach. Jenna has previously worked as a laborer for NCC and chose the Summer of 2024 to bring her UVM Business degree into focus. Jenna divided her time between providing project administrator assistance on the Fox Run Apartments project as well as office administrative assistance to Office Management, Human Resources and Accounting teams.

Jenna’s internship transitioned to a part time position for the  school year as she continues her Business School pursuits and contributes to the successful operations of the NCC Team.
