About The Job You’re Considering

We are seeking an experienced Embedded System Test Engineer to work on system‑level and hardware testing of our Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) imaging platform. With a background in electrical or mechanical engineering, the engineer will verify the integrated behavior of the embedded system and its optical, electrical, and mechanical subsystems, alongside the Windows‑based application. The role involves designing and executing system and hardware test setups, characterizing performance, and ensuring compliance with applicable medical device safety and design standards.

Role
  • Plan, design, and execute system‑level and hardware verification tests for the embedded OCT imaging platform, covering integration of optical, electrical, and mechanical subsystems.
  • Build, configure, and operate hardware test setups, including instrumentation, fixtures, and data acquisition for performance and reliability characterization.
  • Verify hardware and system behavior against requirements and design specifications, analyzing measured data to confirm conformance.
  • Investigate and root‑cause system‑level failures, working with hardware, software, and systems engineering to drive resolution.
  • Maintain test documentation, traceability, and reports in compliance with the quality management system and regulatory standards.
Your Skills And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of strong experience in medical device development, including design verification, testing, and compliance with standards such as IEC 60601, IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971.
  • Solid background in hardware and embedded systems engineering, including electronics, electrical systems, EMC, and hardware testing.
  • Proficiency in software development, test automation, and scripting/programming, preferably with Python and LabVIEW.
  • Hands‑on experience with system integration, data acquisition, and troubleshooting, using tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
  • Knowledge of medical imaging technologies and healthcare systems, with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Compensation

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is 68,. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.
