About The Role
Provide supervisory oversight for a portfolio of captive clients, ensuring all services, deliverables, and regulatory compliance items are met. Lead communication with senior captive owners, service providers, and regulators. This position may serve as a Director, Officer, and/or equivalent role for various captive insurance clients. Manage, delegate, and review the work of Account Administrators and Coordinators. Participate in industry associations and networking.
HowYou Will Create An Impact
- Client Management:
Supervise and oversee services to complex captive insurance companies; maintain primary contact for complex captives; provide peer review and guidance to other team members. - Business Operations:
Lead staff development and education; oversee performance appraisal of direct reports; participate in hiring and fee renewal discussions. - Non‑Routine Client Management:
Perform special requests such as business plan changes, financial proformas, or analysis of new agreements; serve as Director/Officer and present at client board or committee meetings. - Industry Knowledge/Involvement:
Maintain and develop captive insurance industry knowledge; participate on committees and boards with industry associations.
- Bachelor of Accounting degree and captive experience required
- CPA or equivalent (i.e., Chartered Accountant) or CPA candidate
- Experience preparing financial statements with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or related experience
- Proven ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently to meet deadlines and satisfy client and service team managers
- Demonstrated analytical thought and the ability to think and complete tasks independently
- Contribute to a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent Excel skills
- Effective communicator, both verbally and written
Compensation includes a base salary and eligibility for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. A range of competitive benefits is available.
