Job Opportunities Credit Analyst / Senior Credit Analyst

VEDA is looking for a motivated individual to be our next Credit Analyst . Based on prior experience, this position may be hired at the Credit Analyst or Senior Credit Analyst level . This position supports loan officers with financial and business analysis for new loan and servicing requests. Duties include preparing and analyzing financial spreadsheets, analyzing business and marketplace strengths and weaknesses, drafting loan credit memos to aide management and/or the Board of Directors in making loan approval decisions.

Salary range: $47,000-$90,000

Location:

VEDA has offices in Montpelier, Middlebury, and Burlington. Position expected to be in-office a minimum of 3 days/week.

Requirements include but are not limited to:

• Previous experience as a credit analyst or related experience.
• Knowledge of and ability to analyze balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and collateral adequacy.
• Knowledge and ability to analyze business and marketplace strengths and weaknesses.
• Strong written, verbal, and customer service skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Computer literacy and ability to learn financial database software.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Travel within the State of Vermont.

Knowledge of the agricultural sector is preferred but not required.
