Responsibilities- Perform complex MRI exams on varying strength magnets using magnetic fields and radio frequency waves.
- Adapt to changes in technology and imaging techniques while ensuring safe and effective imaging for patients with and without implants.
- Assess and manage MRI safety, including implants such as pacemakers and other devices; enforce MRI safety protocols.
- Demonstrate compassion for patients with claustrophobia and provide strategies to reduce discomfort.
- Operate under the supervision of the Radiologist and the MRI Supervisor.
- Education:
Graduate from a school of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JRCT. - Certification:
Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), ARMRIT, or certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB); ARRT MRI Certification preferred. - Experience:
Two years of Radiology imaging experience, cross sectional imaging and/or computer assisted imaging preferred. - Knowledge/
Skills:- Advanced MRI certification by ARRT within 2 years of hire if holding an ARRT license not in MRI.
- CE compliant according to governing body guidelines.
- BLS certified.
- Beneficial but not required: knowledge of cross sectional anatomy.

Sign-On Bonus and Relocation AssistanceExternal candidates who have not worked within the network in the past year may be eligible for a hiring bonus based on experience. Bonuses for full-time new hires range from $6,000 to $15,000 and are paid out over several installments. Relocation assistance is available for candidates relocating more than 120 miles from their previous role, up to $6,000.
