Kahm Center for Eating Disorders is expanding! We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Eating Disorder Therapist to join our team at Kahm Center for Eating Disorders in Burlington, VT. As a therapist at our center, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals struggling with eating disorders. We are looking to hire a therapist, passionate about treating eating disorders, to join our New Child and Adolescents eating disorder program.

The Kahm Center for Eating Disorders is a small, family-owned practice run by the Kahms (Mother and Son), cherishing the intimate, familial atmosphere we foster. Our office, located in the renovated Chace Mills building in Burlington, offers views of the Winooski River with wood floors, exposed brick, and comfortable couches. Group sizes are small to ensure clinical excellence, and this close-knit environment fosters strong relationships among patients and staff.

This is a role where you will be on a tight-knit team working closely with colleagues, and you will be part of a setting believed to be optimal for positive outcomes.

We utilize a unique treatment method that includes metabolic testing and body composition analysis to help cure malnutrition. With extensive outpatient experience, we know that therapeutic and psychiatric elements of eating disorder treatment are improved when patients are well nourished. We are actively involved in research on eating disorders, metabolism, and body composition, and we aim to improve eating disorder treatment more broadly through this work.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions for clients with eating disorders
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
• Stay up to date on current research and best practices in eating disorder treatment
• Support and educate clients  families and loved ones
• Facilitate groups with expertise, demonstrating the ability to engage, set limits, and monitor the group process
• Complete clinical paperwork, progress notes, and group notes in a timely and accurate fashion
• Conduct or help in the facilitation of the Utilization Review in a timely fashion to ensure payment

• Master s degree in counseling, social work, or related field
• Licensed or license-eligible as a therapist in the state of Vermont
• Experience working with individuals with eating disorders
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Empathetic and compassionate demeanor
• Availability to work some evenings
