Supports Pathology and Lab Medicine with daily departmental operations with administrative and technical duties. Primary duties include accessioning, movement of patient materials including coordination of patient assets for requested reviews, send out testing, general workflow support and a point person for Pathologists.

Two years of college with an emphasis in science OR two years of appropriate lab experience.

This role is a full-time position, Monday - Friday. There are no weekends or holidays.

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to work closely with others internally and externally to the hospital
• Must have strong administrative and organizational skills
• Must be able to work autonomously and problem solve
• Familiarity with specimen handling and universal precautions and laboratory IS.
• May be required to know Medical Terminology and Human anatomy
• Familiarity with Windows based computer programs
