Join a high-performing Ortho Surgical Med/Surg unit (Miller
6) in a large teaching and trauma facility. This assignment is ideal for experienced Med/Surg nurses with strong orthopedic backgrounds who thrive in fast-paced academic environments.
- Ortho Surgical Med/Surg
- Will float to like units as needed
- Large teaching, trauma center experience required
- EPIC EMR (within past 2 years – nonnegotiable)
- Bi-weekly orientation (Mondays)
- Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (36 hrs/week)
- Monday–Sunday scheduling
- Weekends required (may be more than every other weekend)
- No block scheduling
- Travelers may float as needed
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- NIHSS certification (must be obtained prior to start)
- Minimum 2 years of orthopedic experience
- Minimum 4 years strong Med/Surg experience if this is first travel assignment
- Experience in more than one large teaching/trauma center (preferred)
- Prior travel experience preferred
⚠️ Complete work history required (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.)
⚠️ All employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained
⚠️ IVS required to offer
⚠️ Proof of COVID and Flu vaccination OR signed declinations required
- Public transportation is not accessible
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended
- Vehicles must have all-season or snow tires (November–April)
