Ultrasound Sonographer Position

Seeking a skilled Ultrasound Sonographer to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, specializing in abdominal, gynecological, and vascular scans. The role involves working in a large trauma center with high patient volumes and a focus on breast care and biopsies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive ultrasound examinations on patients, including abdomen, gynecology, vascular, and breast imaging.
  • Perform specialized procedures such as breast biopsies with precision and adherence to protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all imaging procedures and patient information.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure diagnostic accuracy and optimal patient care.
  • Adhere to all safety, hygiene, and quality standards, including equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Assist with maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring patient comfort during procedures.

Qualifications:

  • ARDMS certification in abdomen, gynecology, and vascular specialties.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant ultrasound experience in a large hospital setting.
  • Proven experience in a breast care center and performing breast biopsies.
  • Recent Epic EMR system experience within the last 2 years is required.
  • Ability to work four 10-hour night shifts, Sunday through Wednesday.
  • Reliable transportation with all-season or snow tires from November to April; public transportation is not accessible.
