ResponsibilitiesProvide a broad range of technical support for COM Users, to include faculty, staff, and students. Support areas include Active Directory accounts, desktop operating system and software, network access, internally developed application use, desktop and laptop hardware, mobile devices, public computers, video conferencing, and audio/visual technology. Deliver just‑in‑time support for walk‑in and phone users through the service center, address complex issues that require follow‑up calls or coordination with other technical support teams, prioritize identification and troubleshooting of system or network issues, and efficiently communicate findings to system administration and development teams.
Assist in rolling out new technology initiatives and projects and support and train end users in their use.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two to three years of technology support experience
- Knowledge of the Windows platform, computer hardware, and peripherals
- Proficiency with MS Office and other office support applications
- Basic networking knowledge and understanding of a client/server network
- Ability to troubleshoot and support Mac computers
$27.00 - $30.00 per hour
Special Conditions- Probationary period may be required
