Posting Summary
This role will serve in a key leadership position in the management structure of the department; provide supervision and leadership of the AV Support Team within the ETS - Client Services umbrella; oversee the strategic direction of multimedia/AV technology initiatives at the university level that are mission critical. Design, analyze, integrate and support the classroom AV systems that are strategic to the university's technology goals;
provide project leadership, contracted vendor management and specialized classroom AV deployments having an institution-wide impact; consult and coordinate with colleges, departments, major units and other IT support personnel to plan and implement campus-wide AV services, including meeting space and other AV technologies across campus. Collaborate with ETS leadership to evaluate, develop, and implement university-standard software, hardware, security and networking solutions, including institutional needs assessment, consensus building, project management, and responsibility for service quality.
Report to Director.
ETS consists of five core areas:
Client Services, Network Services, Information Security Office (ISO), Systems Architecture and Administration (SAA), and Database Administration/Enterprise Application Services (EAS). Within this structure, Client Services is the frontline for supporting UVM students, faculty, and staff in their daily use of information and communication technologies across classrooms, offices, conference rooms, labs, and other academic and administrative environments.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Bachelor's degree in a technology field and four to five years' experience in a complex, multi-site environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of complex AV system design with advanced understanding of video- and web-conferencing tools.
• Experience with supervision and/or project/team leadership required. Effective interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications
• Experience managing IT customer service operations highly.
• IT/CTS/AV certifications.
Anticipated Pay Range
$82,000 - $89,000

A probationary period may be required, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), This position is ineligible for telework due to the essential functions, Background Check required for this position
