Advertising/Posting Title Technical Support Specialist Posting Summary
Perform technical and data management support of the student information system (Banner) as it relates to the Graduate and Undergraduate Admissions Offices.
Provide oversight of data integrity; provision of data to both internal and external units; electronic loading of data into Slate and Banner database; and testing of Banner updates and web forms.
Coordinate and provide training to staff members in the Banner SIS.
Manage communications and applications for students who defer admission.
Minimum Qualifications (or Equivalent Combination Of Education And Experience)Associate's degree with one to two years’ experience in data management, including relational databases, spreadsheets, file transfer protocol required. Effective interpersonal and organizational skills. Familiarity with the concepts of an electronic calendar and e-mail. Data entry skills required.
Desirable QualificationsKnowledge of the Banner SIS is highly desirable. Familiarity with relational database highly desirable. College admissions experience is highly desirable
Anticipated Pay Range$25/hour to $27/hour
Special ConditionsA probationary period may be required, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position FLSA Non-Exempt Union Position Yes, UVMSU
