This role is ideal for a hands-on multimedia storyteller who enjoys being in the field—capturing short-form videos (e.g., lab tours, researcher interviews, event highlights), producing visual content for web and social platforms, and transforming complex topics into accessible soundbites.

This role will lead day-to-day production of digital content across channels including web (Drupal 10), social media, e-newsletters, and digital publishing platforms with an emphasis on short-form video, visual storytelling, graphic design, and digital asset management. Working collaboratively with communications colleagues, researchers, clinicians, and community partners, this role will help ensure UVMCC stories are delivered in compelling, modern, and accessible formats.

This role operates with a high degree of independence in content production, prioritization, and execution.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):
Bachelor's degree in communications, media production, marketing, journalism, or related field. 2–4 years of experience producing digital content, with a strong emphasis on video and multimedia storytelling. Demonstrated experience shooting and editing video for web and social platforms. Experience working with content management systems (e.g., Drupal). Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders in a collaborative environment.

Comfort working with subject matter experts, including researchers, clinicians, and community partners. Experience creating short-form, social-first video content (e.g., interviews, reels, behind-the-scenes, event coverage). Familiarity with digital publishing tools such as Foleon or similar platforms. Experience managing and organizing digital asset libraries (photo/video). Basic photography and graphic design skills (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
