Serve as a senior leader in the undergraduate admissions office, providing strategic direction for student engagement, alumni outreach, communications, and events while managing daily operations. In the absence of the Executive Director, lead staff, make operational decisions, and guide office-wide communication and activities. Oversee Vermont admission and recruitment efforts, including coordinating the Vermont application review process in alignment with university goals, implementing recruitment and yield initiatives, and managing a recruitment territory.
Provide leadership in developing and executing comprehensive recruitment and communication strategies across electronic, print, and social media platforms, including application marketing campaigns and efforts to mitigate summer enrollment loss. Supervise and evaluate staff responsible for visits, events, communication, and alumni outreach, ensuring efficient workflows and continuous improvement. Represent the University of Vermont to prospective students, families, alumni, faculty, staff, and other key stakeholders on and off campus.
Master’s degree in a related field and three years of related experience required. Multicultural competency and analytical skills required. Effective communication skills, both oral and written, required. Supervisory experience required.
Desirable QualificationsLeadership experience including training, motivating, providing direction, delegation, prioritizing and conflict resolution skills desired.
Anticipated Pay Range $95,000-$102,000
Other Information Special ConditionsA probationary period may be required, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime),
