Prism Associate Director Posting Summary

Lead UVM's work to advance student success through the lens of human sexuality in collaboration with the Director of the Prism Intercultural Center and the Men & Masculinities Program Director. Administer and manage the ongoing operations and development of Prism programs. Assess challenges and opportunities related to the educational, developmental, social, and safety needs of students, faculty, staff and alumni with varying sexualities.

Define strategies to address these challenges and capitalize on opportunities. Work with appropriate academic and social success affiliates by providing advocacy, programming, resources, and opportunities that strengthen connections among students, faculty, and staff of all sexualities. Collaborate with other areas of the UVM community to promote student success using the lens of human sexuality. Report to the Director of the Prism Intercultural Center.

Master's degree in a related field and three to five years' related experience to include professional experience in administration, planning, program development, budget development and management, staff supervision, justice, and advocacy, and policy making within organizations required. Demonstrated success working with a range of diverse populations and evidence of commitment to fostering a culturally inclusive collaborative environment. Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills required.

Experience in higher education is highly desirable.

$65,000-$75,000

A probationary period may be required, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Background Check required for this position
