Position: Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Tele Job

Step into a purpose-driven role as a Registered Nurse in Med Surg Tele, Burlington, Vermont, where every shift is an opportunity to influence healing, comfort, and hope for patients navigating complex medical journeys. In this travel assignment, you’ll apply your telemetry expertise, clinical versatility, and compassionate communication to stabilize patients, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and guide families through plan-of-care explanations with clarity.

You’ll assess evolving conditions, respond quickly to changes, titrate medications, manage IV therapies, and partner with physicians, case managers, and rehabilitation teams to ensure smooth transitions from hospital to home or lower-acuity settings. The pace in Med Surg Tele is dynamic, rewarding critical thinking and meticulous charting, and your leadership will shine as you mentor less-experienced teammates and model best practices in patient safety and dignity.

Starting March 23, 2026, this assignment runs for multiple weeks, with a weekly pay range of $2,391 to $2,514. While guaranteed hours will vary, you can count on consistent opportunities to extend your contract, based on performance and unit needs. In addition, our program features a competitive bonus framework, robust housing assistance, and a commitment to supporting your professional trajectory every step of the way.

Your travel schedule also includes 24/7 support from our dedicated team, ensuring you’re never navigating a new hospital or city alone while you focus on delivering exceptional patient care.

Vermont’s iconic landscapes and Burlington’s welcoming community amplify the well-being of those who live and work here. In Burlington, you’ll find a thriving riverside atmosphere, a vibrant arts scene, and a community that values work–life balance. The state’s pristine Green Mountains invite outdoor adventures in every season, from hiking and biking to skiing and leaf-peeping splendor in the fall. Lake Champlain’s sparkling shores provide scenic vistas during breaks, and farm-to-table dining showcases local flavors you won’t forget.

Beyond the beauty, Vermont’s strong healthcare networks emphasize patient-centered care, collaborative teams, and opportunities to contribute meaningfully in a smaller-city setting with big-town impact. If you crave variety, our travel program also offers placements across the U.S., allowing you to experience diverse patient populations, hospital cultures, and clinical challenges. This combination—quality care in a picturesque setting with the chance to broaden your professional horizons—creates a uniquely rewarding experience for Med Surg Tele nurses who want depth, skills growth, and lasting professional relationships.

In this role, your responsibilities will span the essentials of Med Surg Tele care while inviting you to grow within a supportive framework. You’ll perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor telemetry and vital signs, administer medicines with precision, manage IV therapies, and respond to alarms and acute changes with rapid, evidence-based action. You’ll implement care plans for a spectrum of medical conditions—postoperative needs, respiratory concerns, infectious disease cautions, electrolyte imbalances, and chronic disease management—while maintaining meticulous documentation and ensuring compliance with hospital policies.

Discharge planning and patient education will be key components, helping patients and families understand medications, follow-up appointments, wound care, and safety plans after discharge. Collaboration is essential: you’ll work closely with physicians, case management, pharmacists, physical and occupational therapy, social work, and nutrition teams to coordinate a holistic approach to patient recovery. The role also presents leadership opportunities—precepting new travelers or serving as a charge nurse when available—to cultivate team cohesion, share best practices, and elevate patient outcomes.

Professional growth is supported through continuing education, cross‑training opportunities, and the chance to diversify your resume with Med Surg Tele experience in a range of clinical environments. In…
