Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in a large, teaching facility (ICU RN experience required)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Vermont or a compact state
- AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications; NIHSS required prior to start
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (EPIC proficiency required)
- Prior travel nursing experience (travel nurse applicants preferred)
- Experience with post-cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma level 1, general surgery, and neurosurgery patients
- CCRN certification preferred (Critical Care RN credential)
- Reliable transportation required (public transit not accessible); vehicle should have all-season or snow tires November–April
- Complete work history information (bed count, EMR, facility type, unit names) required for submission
- Float between ICU and IMCU units as needed, providing care for diverse critically ill patients (cardiovascular, COPD, DKA, stroke, sepsis)
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate, evidence-based critical care nursing
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes (physicians, respiratory therapists, surgical teams)
- Accurately document patient care and assessments using EPIC EMR
- Participate in ongoing nursing education and bi-weekly orientation sessions
- Follow hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols; complete required credentialing and work history details
