- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,360 - $2,480
- Schedule: Minimum every other weekend; flexibility required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience in a large, teaching hospital (500+ beds)
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred (may be waived for candidates with extensive ER and teaching facility experience)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Vermont or Compact RN license accepted
- Current certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, NIH Stroke Scale
- TNCC required (proof of TNCC class or certificate prior to start)
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (limited public transportation); vehicles must have all-season or snow tires November–April
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
- CEN, ENPC, MOAB, Pro Act, or other de-escalation training (preferred)
- Strong triage, acute care, and rapid assessment skills in emergency nursing
- Experience in high-acuity, high-volume ED settings and teaching hospitals
- Excellent interdisciplinary communication and documentation skills (EPIC)
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations in a fast-paced ED
- Perform rapid assessment, triage, and interventions for acute and critical patients
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Accurately document patient care and clinical decisions using EPIC EMR
- Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
- Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development as a travel nurse
- Maintain flexibility for rotating shifts, weekend coverage, and unit staffing needs
