Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse opportunity in Burlington, VT (05401) at a 500+ bed academic teaching hospital. Advance your career as a CVOR/travel RN providing high-quality cardiac surgery care in a fast-paced, academic environment.

• Location: Burlington, VT 05401 (Burlington, Vermont travel nursing / New England)
• Assignment Type: Travel RN assignment
• Setting: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) – Large academic teaching hospital (500+ beds)
• Start Date: March 23, 2026
• End Date: September 21, 2026
• Duration: 26 weeks (typical range 16–32 weeks)
• Hours: 40 hours/week
• Shift: 10-hour rotating shifts (days/evenings), typically four 10-hour days (06:45–17:15) with one/two 12-hour weekday calls (19:00–07:15) and one full weekend of call every 5 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,000–$3,160/week
• On-site: This is an on-site CVOR travel RN position

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact or state-specific per assignment)
• BLS required; CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years recent OR RN experience with strong competency in cardiovascular / open-heart procedures
• Experience performing both scrub and circulate roles in cardiac surgery
• Prior travel nursing experience required (travel RN / travel nurse jobs)
• Experience working in a large (500+ beds), academic, teaching hospital required
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (non-negotiable) — Epic proficiency required for documentation
• General OR experience required; must be willing to float to other OR suites (general, ortho, neuro, ENT, etc.)
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation not accessible). Vehicle should have all-season or snow tires November–April
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained

• Provide direct patient care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, including both scrubbing and circulating duties
• Assist with a full range of cardiac surgery procedures (including open-heart cases), ensuring patient safety and adherence to perioperative protocols
• Document care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Participate in rotating shifts, on-call coverage, and scheduled call rotations
• Float to other operating room suites as needed to support surgical services
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced academic setting
• Maintain flexibility and professionalism to meet unit and patient-care needs
