Rotating shifts between day and evening schedules. Typically the pattern is three-day shifts with one off shift. Off shift options include , , or . Call is required one weekday per week plus one 24-hour call in each four-week schedule block.
Job DescriptionAs a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will be responsible for providing exemplary patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. You will collaborate closely with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Assist with all phases of patient surgery including preparation, intraoperative assistance, and postoperative care.
- Utilize scrubbing skills across a range of specialties, including General OR, GU, GYN, ENT, ophthalmology, plastics, trauma, thoracic, and vascular cases, excluding CVOR.
- Document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, specifically EPIC.
- Ensure the availability and condition of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Minimum of two years of experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse.
- Prior travel experience is required.
- Experience in large (500+ beds) trauma level 1 facilities is mandatory.
- EPIC experience within the last two years is non-negotiable.
- Current RN license required.
- Must provide circulate and scrub skills checklists as part of your application packet.
