Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking an OR RN with extensive trauma level 1 experience to provide specialized surgical nursing care. This role involves flexible schedules and travel to a facility with over 500 beds, ensuring top-tier patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate perioperative patient care by assisting in all surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Demonstrate proficiency in circulating and scrub roles, excluding CVOR cases.
• Prepare operating rooms and ensure compliance with infection control standards.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, providing support across general, GYN, ENT, plastics, trauma, thoracic, and vascular cases.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure EMR data is complete, including employment gaps over 90 days.
• Participate in emergency and trauma cases, ensuring readiness for all aspects of surgical intervention.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid nursing license with current credentials on file.
• Minimum of 2 years of OR RN experience, including trauma level 1 cases.
• Recent EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years is required.
• Prior travel nursing experience is mandatory.
• Demonstrate scrub and circulating skills with checklists documented in the packet.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including 3-day shifts plus off-shift options and 24-hour call responsibilities.
