Overview
ER Registered Nurse (Emergency Department) in Burlington, Vermont. Start date 08/24/2026 for 16 contract weeks. Weekly pay $2,568–$2,674 per week. Guaranteed hours: none. Shift: 3x12-hour rotating (days and nights). This travel assignment is in a fast-paced, teaching-focused ED setting with EPIC EMR experience required. Mileage-based pay applies (travel rates tier by direct mileage: 101 miles+; 51–100 miles; local 50 miles or less).

- Start date:
08/24/2026 - Setting: ER department in a teaching-oriented, larger facility; EPIC EMR experience required within the last 2 years
- Deliver high-quality emergency care to adult and mixed-population patients, including triage, rapid assessment, monitoring, and patient stabilization
- Initiate IV access, administer medications, perform wound care, and assist with diagnostic testing and procedures
- Document care consistently and accurately in EPIC electronic medical record; communicate clearly with physicians, specialists, and team members
- Monitor and reassess patients, respond to deteriorating conditions, and participate in de-escalation strategies when needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety, comfort, and timely disposition; support patient and family education
- Maintain flexibility to meet unit needs, including scheduling adjustments and staffing requirements; comply with unit expectations for weekend coverage
- Licensure:
Active RN license (state requirements apply for VT or multi-state eligibility) - Certifications:
AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, NIHSS, TNCC required; TNCC must be documented prior to start; NIHSS required prior to start - Experience:
Minimum 2 years ER experience; prior travel experience preferred; large, teaching facility experience strongly preferred - Education:
Current licensure as a registered nurse; EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable) - Other:
Ability to work in a rotating day/night ED environment with flexibility; no float required to other areas
