Registered Nurse – CVOR

CVOR RN Opportunity

Seeking a skilled CVOR RN to join a busy surgical team in a large academic hospital. The role requires providing specialized cardiovascular and open-heart surgery nursing care with flexibility to meet unit demands.

Responsibilities:

• Perform scrub and circulate duties during cardiovascular and open-heart surgeries.
• Adapt to various OR suites including general, ortho, neuro, and ENT as needed.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with facility protocols and document all procedures accurately.
• Support unit operations by being flexible with shifts, including call hours and weekends.
• Ensure timely completion of required documentation and communicate effectively with staff.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 2 years of recent OR experience in cardiovascular or open-heart surgery.
• Prior travel experience is required.
• Current BLS certification; CNOR preferred.
• Experience working in large (500+ beds), academic, teaching hospitals.
• Proficiency in Epic EMR system within the past 2 years.
• Must be adaptable to float across different OR specialties if needed.
