Registered Nurse, Med Surg Tele – Burlington, VT

This travel assignment starts on 08/13/2026 and runs for 5 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,083 to $2,252 per week, with no guaranteed hours. Shift is 3x12-hour day shifts. Setting involves a hospital-based Med/Surg Tele unit focused on Neurosurgical and general surgical care. Start within the next two weeks is required. This assignment requires relocation and travel between facilities as needed to meet unit coverage.

  Medicine/Surgery Tele unit with neurosurgical and surgical patients

• Provide direct patient care for Med/Surg Tele patients, including neuro assessments and flagging changes in condition.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and monitor hemodynamics per physician orders and protocol.
• Perform accurate documentation in the Epic EMR and participate in handoffs during shift changes.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans; educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning.
• Maintain patient safety and quality of care, including infection control, fall prevention, and regulatory compliance.
• Support unit operations, contribute to care coordination, and participate in bi-weekly orientations and schedule adjustments to meet patient needs.

• Active RN license (state may vary by assignment; current licensure as an RN required)
• Certifications:
  
  NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, and BLS; NIHSS certification required prior to start
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele unit experience; prior travel experience and large teaching facility experience are preferred
• EMR:
  Epic experience within the past 2 years is required
• start readiness: able to start within two weeks of offer; able to work in a fast-paced, teaching facility environment; able to work every other weekend or as unit needs dictate
