Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in a level III NICU setting. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate care to newborns and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Administer advanced neonatal nursing procedures, including newborn rounds, delivery attendance, and nursery care.
- Float between units such as newborn NICU, mother/baby, pedi/PICU with neonate feeder/grower, ensuring continuity of care.
- Monitor, assess, and document neonatal patient conditions, responding promptly to any changes.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain compliance with facility protocols, including documentation in EPIC EMR software.
- Follow established guidelines for patient safety, infection control, and neonatal stabilization.
Qualifications:
- Hold current AHA BLS and NRP certifications; STABLE and RNC-NIC credentials preferred.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of NICU level III clinical experience.
- Have at least 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years.
- Possess experience working in large (500+ bed) teaching hospitals or similar facilities.
- Show ability to adapt to floating assignments, with flexible scheduling.
