American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a neurosurgical/surgical unit requiring at least 2 years of unit experience and prior travel assignment experience.
Requirements- Active RN license (VT or Compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (NIHSS required prior to start date)
- Minimum of 2 years of unit experience required
- Prior travel assignment experience required
- Experience in a large, teaching facility required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
- Complete and detailed work history required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type
- Employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
- Work on M5/McClure 5, a neurosurgical and surgical telemetry unit in a large teaching hospital
- 12-hour day shift schedule, 36 hours per week
- Shift hours are 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Minimum of every other weekend required, with schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
- Scheduling runs Monday through Sunday with no block schedules permitted
- Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays
- Uses Epic EMR
- Provide nursing care to neurosurgical and general surgical patients on a telemetry unit
- No floating or charge nurse responsibilities required
- Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in the area
