Job Description:
Candidates must have a minimum of two years of recent ICU experience prior travel assignment experience, preferably in large teaching facilities. Active AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required, with NIHSS completed prior to start; CCRN certification is preferred. Recent EPIC charting experience within the last two years is mandatory. Strong background managing critically ill patients, including multi-system disease processes, advanced life support therapies, and high-acuity ICU workflows, is required.
Complete and accurate work history documentation and schedule flexibility are expected.
Responsibilities include initiating IV access, managing multiple titratable drips, providing critical ventilator care, and supporting patients requiring advanced therapies such as CRRT, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), ECMO support, and complex COVID or respiratory cases. The RN monitors hemodynamic stability, responds to rapid clinical changes, and collaborates closely with intensivists and interdisciplinary teams while maintaining strict critical care protocols and patient safety standards.

Description:
This Medical ICU Registered Nurse position provides care for critically ill adult patients in a high-acuity intensive care setting with occasional overflow neuro cases. The RN delivers comprehensive critical care management including advanced monitoring, ventilator management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary ICU teams. Nurses must be flexible to float within critical care units as needed and participate in weekend rotations based on unit requirements.
The environment supports complex patient populations requiring intensive monitoring and rapid clinical decision-making within a large teaching hospital setting.
