Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled ICU Registered Nurse for a 16-week float pool assignment within a large teaching hospital. The role involves providing patient care across multiple ICU units, with a focus on flexibility and adherence to unit needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in various ICU units.
- Float between units within the ICU pool, supporting staffing needs and patient care demands.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all clinical standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Adhere to scheduled shifts, including every other weekend, and be flexible with scheduling adjustments.
- Follow all safety and clinical protocols, including vascular access and hemodynamic device management.
Qualifications:
- Valid AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; CCRN preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of ICU experience in a large, 500+ bed teaching facility.
- Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR system within the past 2 years is mandatory.
- Demonstrated expertise with hemodynamic devices and critical care patient populations.
- Ability to work flexible schedules and pass NIHSS prior to start.
