Overview
Registered Nurse, Mother Baby Couplet Care – Burlington, VT. This 16-week travel - temporary assignment begins 09/21/2026 in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,191 to $2,252. Shifts are rotating 3x12s (day/night). The assignment requires EPIC EMR experience and a strong background in a high-volume, teaching or large-capacity facility, with focus on mother–baby care and newborn support.

- Orientation:
Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays - Mileage-based rate tiers are used for travel compensation (rates tiered by mileage)
- Provide direct nursing care to mothers and newborns in the Mother Baby Couplet Care unit, including routine assessments and ongoing monitoring.
- Support newborn feeding and lactation education, and assist families with newborn care and safety instructions.
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders, monitor for adverse reactions, and document findings in the EPIC EMR.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, participate in care planning, and assist with discharge planning and patient/family education.
- Travel with primary assignment while remaining flexible to float to related units as needed; occasional day rotations may occur, with main assignments during night hours.
- Maintain clinical standards, ensure patient safety, and uphold unit policies for a high-volume teaching environment.
- Ensure up-to-date certifications (BLS and NRP) are maintained and observed; comply with charting, documentation, and quality measures.
- Active Registered Nurse license in Vermont (in good standing)
- Certifications:
AHA BLS and NRP required; AHA ACLS preferred - Experience:
Minimum 2 years of specialty Mother Baby experience; prior travel experience highly preferred - Unit experience:
Antepartum experience preferred and ability to take a charge role - Facility experience:
Experience in a large (500+ bed) or teaching facility is required - Technology: EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years is required
- Transportation:
Reliable transportation is strongly recommended due to limited public transit options in the area - Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in rotating shift schedules
- Bi-weekly orientation sessions on Mondays to support onboarding and transition
- Ongoing assignment support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC
- Dedicated travel recruiter support throughout the assignment
- Credentialing and documentation coordination assistance as part of assignment onboarding
