- Current unencumbered State of Vermont CNA License
- Strong communication skills to communicate with residents, nurses, and staff
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
- Critical-thinking skills
- Ability to handle different situations with tact and professionalism
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including serving meals, feeding patients, ambulating, turning, and positioning patients
- Provide physical care, including baths, hair care, oral care, back care, and elimination care
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients
- Measure and record vital signs, weight, intake, and output
- Perform routine perineal and incontinence care
- Observe and report any changes in a patient's general condition
- Maintain a neat, clean, and safe patient environment
- Complete daily documentation accurately on required forms
