Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

American Traveler is seeking a CVOR RN for a rotating day/evening role at a large academic teaching hospital, requiring recent cardiovascular/open heart OR experience and VT or compact RN licensure.

• Active VT or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience with recent, high competency in cardiovascular/open heart procedures
• Large (500+ bed), academic, teaching hospital experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
• Must be flexible with schedule to meet unit and patient care needs

• Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) unit within a large (500+ bed) academic teaching hospital
• 12-hour rotating day/evening shifts, 36 hours per week
• Schedule may be 4x10s ) or 3x12s ) depending on unit need
• Circulating role only, not required to scrub
• Weekday on-call shifts ), typically one per week unless short staffed
• One full weekend of call required every 5 weeks
• May be required to float to other OR suites (general, ortho, neuro, ENT, etc) in a circulating capacity
• Epic EMR used
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions with the next available start date of 10/19
• Must work 2 of the 4 designated holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
• No block schedules permitted
• Employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended due to lack of public transportation in the area
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
