Responsibilities
Provide analytical support to include data analysis, maintaining and documenting multiple large study databases, producing documented analysis programs for performance and monitoring reports, special meetings, presentations, and manuscripts, as a Researcher/Analyst in the UVM Larner College of Medicine’s Biomedical Statistics Research Core. Work directly with faculty in the Larner College of Medicine and elsewhere on campus to define analysis questions, develop statistical models, and prepare text, tables and graphics describing results.
Interpret results and define strengths and limitations for manuscripts and presentations. Work with faculty investigators to prepare the statistical design for grant proposals to include defining specific study objectives, developing the statistical plan for the study (including power analyses), and analyzing and reporting on preliminary data for such proposals.
Master’s degree in biostatistics, statistics, or related quantitative field with three to five years previous experience analyzing data from clinical trials and observational epidemiology studies (e.g., case control studies; cohort studies). Proficiency in statistical programing languages (R, SAS, Stata, SPSS) required. Familiarity with database management.
Desired RequirementsPrevious experience with longitudinal modeling and mixed models. Previous experience with REDCap data collection and management system.
Anticipated Pay RangeAnticipated Pay Range $70,000-$76,000
Special ConditionsProbationary period may be required. This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy. Background check required for this position.
