Summary

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Market 32 customers. Responsible for preparing, baking, and merchandising all patisserie bakery products under the direct supervision of the bakery team leader to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Maintains a clean and sanitized workstation in accordance with corporate and state sanitation regulations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assist with the patisserie bakery operation within the retail store environment to include preparation, baking, merchandising and final presentation of all patisserie bakery products.
  • Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service.
  • Smile, make eye contact, and thank customers upon fulfilling their requests.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation, according to 5S standards.
  • Ensure all recipes are followed to guidelines and all product on display is fresh, labeled correctly, and priced appropriately.
  • Assist and/or create customer special orders (e.g., cake orders) and showcase cakes in the patisserie for customer purchase.
  • Operate bakery department equipment, including ovens, mixers, and utensils.
  • Supervise teammates in the patisserie area to ensure exceptional customer service and compliance with safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Adhere to all corporate and state sanitation regulations in keeping a neat and clean workstation.
  • Be familiar with state and corporate safety standards.
  • Control shrinks through adherence to related policies and procedures.
  • Work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Pay Range

$18.00 - $24.00

Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience as a cake decorator.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements
  • Exposure to Cold Environment:
    Occasional 1–3 hours.
  • Exposure to Hot Environment:
    Constant 5–8 hours.
  • Grasping/Finger Movement & Dexterity – Left/Right Hands:
    Constant 5–8 hours.
  • Lifting:
    Constant 5–8 hours up to 50 lbs.
  • Lifting:
    Occasional 1–3 hours up to 100 lbs.
  • Pivoting:
    Constant 5–8 hours.
  • Pushing/Pulling:
    Constant 5–8 hours up to 75 lbs.
  • Pushing/Pulling:
    Frequent 3–5 hours up to 50 lbs.
  • Pushing/Pulling:
    Occasional 1–3 hours up to 2400 lbs.
  • Squatting/Kneeling:
    Frequent 3–5 hours.
  • Standing:
    Constant 5–8 hours.
  • Walking:
    Constant 5–8 hours.
