Assistant Patisserie Manager

Summary

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Market 32 customers. Responsible for preparing, baking, and merchandising all patisserie bakery products under the direct supervision of the bakery team leader to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Maintains a clean and sanitized workstation in accordance with corporate and state sanitation regulations.

• Assist with the patisserie bakery operation within the retail store environment, including preparation, baking, merchandising, and final presentation of all patisserie bakery products.
• Consistently provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service.
• Smile, make eye contact, and thank customers upon fulfilling their requests.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
• Ensure all recipes are followed and all products on display are fresh, correctly labeled, and properly priced.
• Assist and/or create customer special orders (e.g., cake orders) and showcase cakes in the patisserie for customer purchase.
• Operate bakery department equipment, including ovens, mixers, and utensils.
• Supervise teammates who work in the patisserie area to ensure exceptional customer service and compliance with safety and sanitation procedures.
• Adhere to all corporate and state sanitation regulations, keeping a neat and clean workstation.
• Familiarize yourself with state and corporate safety standards.
• Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
• Work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

• At least 1 year of experience as a cake decorator.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Exposure to Cold Environment:
  Occasional 1‑3 hours.
• Exposure to Hot Environment:
  Constant 5‑8 hours.
• Grasping/Finger Movement & Dexterity – Left/Right Hands Constant 5‑8 hours.
• Lifting Constant 5‑8 hours up to 50 lbs.

• Pivoting Constant 5‑8 hours.

• Standing Constant 5‑8 hours.
• Walking Constant 5‑8 hours.

Pay Range: $18.00‑$24.00
