We are hiring experienced Alpine and Nordic Sales Associates to join our team.
In this role, you'll help customers find the right alpine and Nordic equipment and accessories, serving everyone from first-time participants to lifelong enthusiasts. Experience with alpine ski outfitting and boot fitting is strongly preferred, including custom boot work. With Nordic, strong technical knowledge of Nordic equipment, accessories and clothing is valued or a willingness to learn.
Candidates should be passionate about the outdoors, enjoy providing outstanding customer service, and be eager to build product knowledge. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in cycling, running, or outdoor apparel to support our year-round business.
Job Type:Alpine:
Part Time (15 - 30 hours with 1 weekend day required) or Full Time (35-40 hr)
Nordic:
Part Time (15 - 30 hours with required weekends)
Available for full time employees only
Responsibilities- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and professional customer service to every visitor.
- Assist customers in selecting the right alpine / Nordic gear and accessories based on their needs and experience level.
- Provide fitting assistance to ensure comfort and proper sizing.
- Keep the store and related areas clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Ensure sales floors, displays, and fitting areas are visually appealing and functional.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed.
- Provide coverage in other areas of the business as needed.
- Alpine:
Strong technical knowledge of alpine ski equipment, boots, and accessories. - Nordic:
Strong technical knowledge of Nordic equipment, accessories, and clothing OR the interest in learning. - Minimum expectation would be 15 hrs./week. Days and hours of work vary depending upon the needs of the business. Weekends and occasional evenings are required.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and manages time effectively and contributes to department performance goals.
- Must be able to use computers, Internet, POS and phones daily. Prior experience working in retail with Lightspeed POS is a plus.
- Must be able to safely lift/carry/drag 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand up to 7+ hours. (Reasonable accommodations will be considered)
