This role will facilitate and instruct multiple chemistry laboratory sections each semester. Duties include preparing for labs and office hours, leading lab sections through assigned experiments, upholding safety standards, holding office hours, attending course trainings and meetings, grading lab work, and assisting with administration of the course exams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry and one year related laboratory experience required.
• Thorough understanding of general chemistry concepts and general chemistry laboratory methods required.

• Prior teaching experience desirable.

$24.96 - $26.70

Position is 1.0 FTE, 9‑month term from August 16 – May 15 annually. Finalists for positions at UVM may be subject to a criminal background check. This position is non‑exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

• Probationary period may be required.
• Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non‑exempt position, may result in overtime).
