Position OverviewThis position will assist the project team and Project Manager in providing field support and technical assistance on environmental investigation and remediation projects.
Position Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field.
- Typically requires 0-2 years of experience.
- Ability to safely perform various routine field activities including sampling, overseeing subcontractors, and applying proper sampling techniques for environmental media.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for the work.
- Entry-level data evaluation and analytical skills.
Activities:
- Assist with calibration of sampling/monitoring equipment, soil sampling, well installation, groundwater sampling, vapor/indoor air sampling, remediation monitoring, and oversight.
- Assist in the preparation and review of data tables, soil boring logs, figures, and technical reports.
This role involves working predominantly in the field at various project sites, performing sample collection, operational recording, and subcontractor oversight. It requires driving to sites, physically moving outdoors in various terrains and weather, and using monitoring instruments and tools. Office work is primarily stationary, involving computer use.
