Day Shift Security Officer

Day/Evening Shift Security Officer – Greater Burlington, Vermont

Starting Pay: $20.00+/hr (varies by site)

• Schedule 1 (Williston – $20.57/hr):
  Thursday through Sunday, 11:30 am – 7:30 pm (32 hours)
• Schedule 2 (Williston – $20.57/hr):
  Monday through Friday, 7:30 pm – 11:30 pm (20 hours)
• Schedule 3 (Burlington – $20.00/hr):
  Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm (40 hours)

A Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding people, property, and assets of the client. Responsibilities include monitoring premises, enforcing rules, providing visible presence, and responding to incidents or emergencies.

• Surveillance:
  Monitor cameras and patrol premises for suspicious activity.
• Access Control:
  Enforce access control policies, verify identification, issue visitor passes.
• Emergency Response:
  Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, including medical, fire or security incidents.
• Incident Reporting:
  Document and report incidents with accurate, detailed reports.
• Patrolling:
  Conduct foot or vehicle patrols to secure all areas.
• Customer Service:
  Greet and assist visitors or employees with directions and inquiries.
• Safety Inspections:
  Inspect premises for safety hazards, fire risks, or other conditions compromising safety.
• Conflict Resolution:
  Handle minor disputes or disturbances to maintain calm environment.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with security staff, law enforcement, or emergency responders.

• Excellent observation and de‑escalation skills; able to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong communication skills; capable of working with global and local security teams.
• Committed to ethical practices and safety protocols.
• Intermediate computer skills required.

• At least 18 years of age.
