We are looking for an Electronic Security Technician primarily focused on installation, with some service and troubleshooting responsibilities. This is a position working with access control, security, intrusion, intercom, and related low voltage systems throughout Vermont.
What You Will Do- Install, wire, program, test, and commission electronic security systems.
- Install access control, intrusion, intercom, and related low voltage systems.
- Perform some service, troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and system modifications.
- Read and work from drawings, wiring diagrams, and system documentation.
- Diagnose system issues and complete repairs correctly.
- Work independently in the field while maintaining communication with the local manager and team.
- Interact professionally with customers and represent the company in the field.
- Support the growth of the Vermont technical team and help improve statewide coverage.
- Experience installing electronic security or low voltage systems.
- Experience with access control, intrusion, intercom, security, fire alarm, or comparable systems.
- Ability to independently install, troubleshoot, and service electronic security equipment.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and understand low voltage systems.
- Strong field troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Comfortable working independently and managing responsibilities in the field.
- Professional customer communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- Ability to cover a statewide Vermont territory.
A Vermont Type S electrical license is highly valuable.
Technician Qualification Program certification is also valuable.
Technicians without a Type S license or Technician Qualification Program certification will still be considered. Those technicians will need to work under a licensed electrician.
