Provide support to community members and law enforcement by responding to calls related to mental health, substance abuse, and other social service needs. Provide immediate support and referral to resources for community members.
Responsibilities:
- Provide crisis support to individuals struggling with mental health and substance misuse
- Provide referral to resources that offer support and treatment to individuals struggling with mental health and substance misuse
- Assist law enforcement in providing crisis support on calls to stabilize and connect individuals to the proper system of care
- Provide referrals for ongoing care for community members who have used law enforcement as a service entry point regularly in order to divert them to proper service providers without engaging with law enforcement
Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in a related field
- Two years’ experience in de-escalating crisis situations, mental health and substance use disorders and resources, and the criminal justice system
- Relevant lived experience may be a substitute for partial work experience
- Valid driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and use of a personal vehicle
Structure:
- Full time, 37.5 hrs/wk
- Non-exempt
- Starting at $28.02
