Description

The Clinical Manager assumes responsibility for the overall administration and clinical service delivery of Transition House, a 4-bed residential treatment program serving youth ages 16-22 from around the state or youth returning from out of state placements.

This position also must oversee the educational and occupational needs of high-risk residents who have had limited success with school or work. Responsibilities include clinical and administrative program development, direct services, management of intakes and discharges and direct supervision of staff or interns, and budget management. The Clinical Manager is the primary contact for community partners, law enforcement, referral sources, and other agencies to ensure admission/ treatment and discharges are well planned.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement and uphold program policies, protocols, and state licensing regulations
  • Provide direct supervision to staff and interns
  • Assists with oversight of hiring/training staff, ensuring adequate coverage
  • Participate in off-hours clinical backup
  • Ensure appropriate assessments are utilized
  • Oversees PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act) throughout the program.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • On the Roster of Non-licensed Non-Certified Psychotherapists (see licensing requirements below)
  • Four years' experience in mental health with Youth and Families
  • Possess trauma-informed knowledge and demonstrated clinical skills
  • Experience supervising staff
  • Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and use of a personal vehicle

Vermont regulation mandates that individuals who are on the Roster of Nonlicensed Noncertified Psychotherapists, through the Office of Professional Regulation, must be actively working towards professional licensure. This rule does not apply to First Call for Chittenden County.
