Food Rescue Coordinator – Overview
Feeding Champlain Valley has an immediate opening for a Food Rescue Coordinator. In this role you will drive vehicles, coordinate food rescue, solicit food donations, and pick up food from supermarkets and food providers on a regular basis. You will work closely with a team to ensure the site remains clean, organized, and that food is handled safely using forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment as required.
Responsibilities- Drive vehicles to coordinate food rescue
- Solicit food donations and pick up food from supermarkets and food providers regularly
- Work closely with a team to keep the site clean, organized, and safe, moving food with forklift and pallet jack as required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a warehouse environment or food systems work
- Fork truck certification preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills (bilingual abilities are a plus)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Ability to uphold established health and safety procedures
Starting pay is $23.65 per hour, ranging from $23.65 to $24.67.
