Hexcel is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Burlington, WA location.

Summary Pay Range

$75,966 – $130,228 annual salary.

Responsibilities
  • Manage projects with oversight from Engineering Manager and collaborate with multiple departments through the New Product Introduction (NPI) process and in support of assigned legacy programs. Represent Hexcel during visits from/to customers to provide technical assistance and expertise.
  • Interpret, understand and communicate customer requirements using CAD/CAM systems such as AutoCAD and CATIA V5. Develop and manage BOMs and routes using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and manage digital manufacturing planning documentation utilizing DELMIA Apriso.
  • Participate in Change Board activities and advocate accountability and traceability. Lead RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) projects and report progress to Change Board and management as required.
  • Participate in process improvement projects to ensure lowest cost production, best technology manufacturing processes and attainment of all customer requirements. Solve problems and facilitate continuous improvement using statistical methods, including those in the Six Sigma toolbox. Support plant Lean initiatives and seek out continual innovation through research into industry best practices.
  • Perform engineered honeycomb and advanced composite part cost estimates and ongoing part cost standard evaluation(s). Create Statement of Work (SOW) for the design and fabrication of composites manufacturing tooling and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university with coursework in engineering or other closely related field of study required. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Apply mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma training preferred. Travel:
    Less than 10%. Ability to travel domestically required.
