Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Respons Able has an immediate need for a EH &S Managers with 7-10 years of experience overseeing safety in a Aerospace environment, with a BCSP certification(CHST, OHST, or CSP) for a 6-9 month project located in Burlington, WA.

GSA per diem and GSA travel paid, medical insurance offered

• Review and provide oversight of regulatory requirements ensuring compliance with existing regulations and Company initiatives and standards dealing with safety for the complex. Collect and assess data on safety program effectiveness.
• Instruct and consult on high-risk field permitting activities and provide information on safety related field activities. Assess (safety) risk exposure and lead development of appropriate controls.
• Provide support to industrial hygiene programs, such as noise surveys, personal and continuous atmosphere monitoring, ventilation surveys, or asbestos abatement plans.
• Experience with health, safety, hygiene and environmental standards and their application in the field. Experience with safety audits and inspections.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and other relevant safety standards. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to conduct training and inspire a safety-first mentality.
• Working understanding of chemical operations, safety systems, and H&S metrics.
• Strong time management and organizational skills; including the ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks with competing demands
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local standards, codes, regulations, and laws

• Must have a BS degree in EH&S, Environmental Science or Industrial Hygiene
• Must have a BCSP certification (CHST,OHST, CIH, or CSP) - no substitutes accepted
• 7-10 years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment-preferable aerospace
• Experience implementing and managing ISO 14001 or 45001, PSM, HAZOP ,EPA, RCRA
