Summary/Objective
The Control Engineer will be responsible for providing support to manufacturing operations with respect to process controls systems including PLCs, motion controls, and other computer-based systems.

- Work with maintenance teams in the implementation and startup of new control system and improvement projects
- Assist maintenance team in troubleshooting during startups and daily operations.
- Provide and maintain system documentation
- Communicate any concerns, incidents, or personnel issues to Maintenance Manager
- Identify poor process flow, identify source, and resolve
- Provide operations and maintenance staff with training for new and updated processes and systems
- Other duties as assigned
- Must have knowledge of the work, proper safety procedures and be able to outline job requirements.
- Must be able and will work with others (production, other maintenance shifts and trades) to accomplish the team objectives.

- Knowledge of the National Electric Code
- Ability to read electrical schematics

Temperature
- High temps between 80-100 degrees. Depends on time of year
Noise
- Decibels can average around 90 dBA and reach peaks up to 115 dBA.

Required Education And Experience- A.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Control Systems (minimum)
- 1
-3 years' experience programming PLC systems
- Understanding and ability to use Allen Bradley software's including RSLinx Factory Talk Linx Studio 5000 from programming and troubleshooting.
- Understanding and ability to design and troubleshoot industrial networks.
- Ability to program, troubleshoot, and update HMI software such as Ignition.
- Ability to create and modify electrical schematics in AutoCAD.
- Ability to program and troubleshoot variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Understanding of SQL Databases
- Knowledge in how to troubleshoot analog field devices such as pressure transmitters, flow meters, temperature transmitters, etc.
- Knowledge in how to troubleshoot discrete field devices such as photo eyes, proximity switches, push buttons, selector switches, limit switches, etc.
